The 2011
Variety Night! Fundraising concerts will be performed
in March 2011 (dates TBA). These concerts are
a departure from our usual classical fare offered by Bow Valley Chorus
and are offered for their sheer entertainment value.
Executive director of Variety Night! Karen Minish, assembles a cast
drawn from the talent pool of Bow Valley Chorus members and directs them
in an abridged/choreographed/semi-staged version of popular musicals. To
date, Bow Valley Chorus members have performed a total of
eight wildly popular
mini-musicals. Other invited Bow Valley talent rounds out the concert
program.
These concerts provide
additional performing opportunities for interested choir members and
also help to offset production costs for Bow Valley Chorus' fall and
spring concerts.
