Joining
Bow Valley Chorus

|
New Members
will be asked to please identify yourself to John Goulart,
the music director. You will be asked to participate in a brief audition
with John, so that he may hear all voices individually, to ensure that
singers are placed in the appropriate section. *This is an extremely
brief, no stress audition (singing up or down a scale) and is not to be
of any concern to potential members. If you are interested in joining
the choir, but cannot attend the first
rehearsal, please contact music director John Goulart at johngoulart@shaw.ca
or 403-762-3188

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
FOR CHOIR MEMBERS
-
Choir rehearsal begins at 7 pm. Please be on time.
-
Extra rehearsals are sometimes scheduled before performances and will
be announced by John well before the concert date. Look for
details in the above rehearsal schedule.
-
Sectional practices are held during rehearsal time.
-
Attendance is strongly encouraged as absenteeism affects the quality
of our rehearsals and ultimately our performances. Please email John
if you are unable to attend choir rehearsal.
-
Choir members are reminded to refrain from talking during rehearsals
(please save your talking for our 10 minute break) and from stomping
your foot to keep time.
-
Choir members are expected to be familiar with the music assigned by
the Music Director for the following week's rehearsal.
When choir members come prepared, rehearsal time is more productive
and enjoyable for everyone.
-
Choir members are expected to do their best to sell tickets, help with
poster distribution and promoting our concerts. Many hands make
light work.
-
We
are a fragrance-free choir
